What is a borewell rig?
Our water well rigs are used in construction, piling, blast hole operation, extrapolation, mining and environmental investigation. A rig is a large structure used for exploration of water, oil or gas, either offshore or onshore.
How does borewell drilling work?
Once the drilling rig is set on the point, a 6.5-inch borewell drilling bit is set with the hydraulic hammer, which gives pressure to the bits. It is forced into the earth's surface using the power produced by the high-pressure compressor to blast the hole from the surface downward.
When should drilling stop?
If water is not found even 10 metres past the usual depth for that area, the driller seeks the owner's consent, and in most cases the owner will stop the drilling.
